Chahine Fellahi

Chahine Fellahi (b. 1994) is a Moroccan artist based in Casablanca. Informed by her research in media archaeology, her practice situates itself between moving image and photography, combining old and new technologies to explore the materiality of images and their relationship to memory. Experimenting with a language of affect, her current research explores the potential of images to operate as sensual sites of inter- corporeal and intersubjective encounters.

Chahine graduated from King’s College London in 2018 with a MA in Film & Philosophy. Her work has been shown locally and internationally, including at the San Francisco Arab Film Festival (2019), Kaleidoskop Festival in Vienna (2020) and Le 18, Marrakech (2021).
