MENA Film Festival is looking for new members to join our Board!

The MENA Board is volunteer-run and meets monthly to ensure the festival staff has everything they need to run a successful year-round operation and oversee the administration and financial well-being of the organization!

If you’re passionate about community building and MENA/SWANA representation in film and media, love MENA/SWANA culture and film, or want to feel more connected to the MENA/SWANA community in Vancouver, we want to hear from you!

As a board member, you get a first-hand look into the running of a mid-size arts non-profit, have a say in the direction and evolution of a bipoc-run and organized event and attend events and network with like-minded community members locally and across Canada.

Started in 2018 by MENA/SWANA community members who felt a lack of filmic representation and cultural space in Vancouver, MENA Film Festival has become a hub for celebrating, elevating and showcasing the work of MENA/SWANA filmmakers, performers and media creatives in Canada and across the diaspora, with year-round programming culminating in our annual festival held every January.

Interested in being considered for the board or finding out more? Please fill out the Google form and let us know a bit more about you!
