I am a multimedia journalist based in British Columbia, Canada, reporting on issues that impact marginalized and underserved communities. My work spans daily news, investigative reporting, and long-form features, with a strong emphasis on ethical storytelling, cultural sensitivity, and public-interest journalism.
I hold an Honours degree in Television Production from the University of Westminster, London, UK, which I pursued after receiving the prestigious Scindia School (India) & University of Westminster 100% scholarship. I later completed a Graduate Diploma in Visual Journalism at Concordia University in Montreal, where I strengthened my skills in visual, digital, and community-focused reporting.
After completing my journalism internship in Vancouver, I progressed to a full-time Local Journalism Initiative (LJI) reporter, covering underserved northern British Columbia communities, particularly First Nations in 2024 and 2025. I have also worked with the MENA Film Festival in Vancouver as part of the marketing team. My published work has appeared in CBC, CTV News, Today in BC, The Northern View, Vancouver Sun, and The Georgia Straight. I often contribute to New Canadian Media, where I focus on reporting through an immigrant lens and centering newcomer perspectives to bridge gaps between communities and mainstream media.
I strive to practice journalism that is fair and ethical. Outside of reporting, I enjoy immersing myself in new cultures and am an internationally certified Ashtanga yoga teacher who loves long trail walks. In my free time, I enjoy attending concerts, comedy shows, and film screenings.
