The film follows Nadir’s journey as the eldest son of Abdi. Nadir is trying to reconcile a complicated relationship with his absent father, a connection further distanced by war, displacement and the unexpected challenges of resettling in Canada. In his first visit in 15 years, Nadir’s father asks him to help his half-brother with a crisis while Nadir struggles to get answers from his dad about their long separation.
