Am Johal is Executive Artistic Director of the Indian Summer Festival. He is Chair of the Vancouver International Film Festival and Vice Chair of Greenpeace Canada. He is the author of Ecological Metapolics: Badiou and the Anthropocene and other books. He co-director of the forthcoming short documentary, 'Preliminary Notes for a Radical Praxis.'

Sudanda was formed in 2004 around the music of Alaaeldin Abdalla, composer, singer and oud player. Alaaeldin’s music draws on traditional Sudanese forms, and he composes music for contemporary Sudanese poets. He is originally from the Sudan and now lives in Vancouver.
