Ghiath Al Mhitawi

Ghiath Al Mhitawi is an author, playwright and filmmaker from Damascus, Syria, where he graduated (2011) with a BA in Theatre Studies from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts. He is the author of The Final Return, which was performed at the Royal Court Theatre in London in 2015. His second play, The Abyss, was performed at the 2019 Edinburgh International Festival as part of the International Climate Crisis. Since 2019 he has been studying MA Screenwriting at the Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF.
