Sareen Hairabedian

Sareen Hairabedian is an Armenian-Jordanian documentary filmmaker based in the U.S., known for her intimate observational style that amplifies underrepresented voices. Her directorial debut, We Are Not Done Yet (HBO), follows U.S. veterans using poetry to heal from PTSD, earning Best Documentary at the G.I. Film Festival and an IDA nomination. Her debut feature My Sweet Land, set in Artsakh, traces a child’s journey through disillusionment and hope. It received the IDFA Spotlight Award and support from ITVS, ARTE, IDA, AFAC, Jordan Film Fund, CNC, among others. In 2016, she founded HAI Creative, producing international co-productions and collaborating with HBO, Sesame Workshop, Apple, Al-Jazeera, Aurora Prize, and more. She is a fellow at DocNYCxVC Incubator and Creative Armenia.
