Mahyar Mandegar is an Iranian writer, director, and editor based in Los Angeles. His short film White Winged Horse premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in 2020 and won Best Film and Best Directing at the Tehran International Short Film Festival. His recent shorts Im Finstern and Taha earned the ASC Student Heritage Award two years in a row. As an editor, his work has screened at major festivals including Venice, Slamdance, and Melbourne. Mahyar holds a BA in Film from the Art University of Tehran and an MFA in Directing from the AFI Conservatory.
