Ibrahim Omar

Ibrahim Omar is a Sudanese filmmaker with a bachelor’s degree from the Higher Institute of Cinema in Cairo and a diploma in cinema from the French University in Egypt, reflecting his comprehensive training in the film industry.He is the founder of SHORT - Short Film Brochures, a monthly magazine dedicated to short films, which is distributed in PDF format via email for free, serving as a valuable resource for filmmakers and film enthusiasts.Furthermore, he established and directs the Port Sudan Film Days, an annual film event held in Port Sudan, which focuses on short films and aims to elevate the cinematic culture in the region. Through his diverse contributions, Ibrahim Omar has become an influential figure in Sudan’s film industry, fostering new talent and encouraging the growth of film culture in the region.
