Noel Keserwany

Noel Keserwany is a Lebanese filmmaker, writer, and musician, known for her satirical socio-political music videos created with her sister Michelle since 2012.
The sisters' first short fiction film, "Les Chenilles," was written by Michelle and directed by both Michelle and Noel. Noel also takes on one of the lead roles in the film.  The film became the first Arab film to receive the Golden Bear for Best Short Film at the 2023 Berlinale. It is currently on a world festival tour and has received the Jury Prize at the Malmo Arab Film Festival and the Audience Prize at the Champs Elysees Film Festival.
The sisters are currently working on a political documentary titled "Slow Burn," produced between Lebanon and France.

Noel is writing her short fiction film, "Un An." She is also developing "Seven Mountains and Seven Seas," an animated short film based on an unpublished story by Lebanese writer Emily Nasrallah. The film has received funding from the Doha Film Institute (DFI) for its development and is produced by Dewberries Films (France) and Beit Touyour Ayloul (Lebanon).

In 2021, Noel was selected for the French Institute's Nafas and subsequently for the 2-12 program at the Cité internationale des Arts, granting her two artistic residencies to develop her ongoing film projects. She has been living between Beirut and Paris since.
